Back in Sept 23 I bought two leisure batteries from a Go Outdoors branch in Wigan (the nearest to where we were when the old ones failed).
Last week they failed at Bike Bare Bikes in Pickering (great site in town centre near NYMR and £12 for 24 hours including water and black waste).
When we got home, I contacted GO customer services and was told to take them to any store for checking.
I took them to my local store who took them in (no checking) and gave me a full refund of the purchase price .

Thank you Go Outdoors. 👍

They are brilliant for stuff like that Go Outdoors. I remember when me and Tuggers (RIP) bought our Sevylor Kayaks about ten years ago and it said they were capable of white water usage. So I took mine to Saltburn in a humongous surf, got completely wiped out and the thing literally sank. Well it filled with water and just sat there weighing about three tons (They are supposed to drain). Anyway I dragged it onto the beach and eventually got it emptied. The bladders and kayak were all out of shape though. I contact both Sevylor and Go Outdoors and was totally honest about it and they said just bring it back and we will give you a new one. :D Since then though Ive avoided the north sea in a ten foot surf. :ROFLMAO:

Always found Go Outdoors a very good shop for Customer Service.
Bit cheaper than batteries, but they swapped out a pair of shoes for me when the sole separated from the top even though they turned out to be over 5 years old!

I used to buy Calor Gas from them, discount with the card then a further 10% using C&CC or the other one, it was £13 cheaper for a bottle than anywhere else, unfortunately they don't sell it any more 🥴

We have a store just a mile from me, very very over priced, they are asking much more for a old school lead acid than i can buy lead carbon or lipo4.

Bought my we oven of them years back caus they had a offer and price reduced from £127 to £99. :)

They used to do a price match and then better the rivals price by 10% Trev, don't know if they still do.
Not sure Rob, wife was in last week but i had to stay with her mum in the car, will get a look in though ours is mainly tents and cooking gear.

I was tent camping in the Cairngorms one January, on the way there I stopped off at Go Outdoors in Newcastle to buy a new sleeping bag. I asked an assistant to recommend one for a Scottish Winter and told him where I was going and he talked me into buying one. In Scotland I very nearly froze to death! The sleeping bag was pretty useless for the conditions and I ended up wrapped in jackets and blankets in the car.

On my return, I contacted Go Outdoors and they told me to give them half an hour and they would get back to me which they did. They had arranged for a full refund as well as to keep the sleeping bag for Summer/Autumn use. They also asked me to go along to my local Go Outdoors where I was me by the manager who presented me with a Rab Ascent sleeping bag (a proper 4 Season Mountaineering bag) free of charge along with an apology even though it was not purchased from his store.

Can't really fault that!

Yes I remember that when we got our Kayaks. Not only that but if you have a Go Outdoors card you get a further discount or you did. I think me and Tuggers got our Kayaks about £40 cheaper than anywhere else.

Rob, just to let you know that I am almost certain that the Newcastle branch (just off the A1 at Westerhope) has closed. There is a branch at Retail World in Gateshead (again, just off the A1).

You can also use a National Trust membership card for the additional 10% discount :) (be amazing if you can get 10% for each membership card you show :) )
