Hoping to wild at Loch Etive on my way up to Scourie or on my return journey. Caledonia mentioned it was a s---hole the last time he was up there, has any member stayed there recently. Ideally i would stop where the road ends and the forestry commission have put the barrier up.
If it is a mess i will give it a miss and stop somewhere else nearby, suggestions most appreciated.

I stayed there last August and it was fine. The car park at the end was full though during the day due to lots of walkers. It may be different at weekends though.

Probably arrive there approx 7.00 pm so may chance it. I can always move on if there are any undesirables stopping overnight.

Glen Etive

How about Glen Orchy? I use it pretty regularly and there are plenty of good spots. You'll be driving right past it anyway and its not too far before Glencoe/Glen Etive.

Many thanks for your advise Sl1ppy, Glen Orchy poi's look excellent, i reckon i will stop there as haven't been before.

What about the nice spot at the Bridge of Orchy

Alf

We stayed in the picnic area nearer the A85 end. Absolutely no problems apart from the midges. Lots of deer on the slopes opposite.

Glen Etive

We stayed in Glen Etive in May. Lovely flat spot about 2 miles from turn off . National Trust Ranger came and talked to us. He was very friendly and welcoming. Spot at the bottom has been spoilt. Enjoy.
