Gasit filling in spain

Hi all .i was wondering if anyone has had any new information about filling gasit type refillable bottles in spain from garages .thankyou so much .Terry
 
I topped up my Gaslow bottles in April with absolutely no problems and have not heard of any difficulties. Have you that you ask?
 
Getting quite plentiful on the motorway service stations.
Make sure you have the appropriate adaptor with you.
 
Likewise no problems in April. It seemed much more widespread than last year.

I read on another website that some garages were refusing to fill any bottles at all .also asda in this country .but i am pleased to hear you have had no problems .thankyou .terry
 
I topped up at supermarkets and forecourts - Repsol was best, the shop worker came out with a box of fittings, connected up and filled it for me, I didn't do a thing, well impressed. However, some supermarkets have very narrow driveways and in one I had to reverse in to get the filler on the correct side, this caused bit of a faff for the locals but everyone was smiling at the Brit with the wonky van.

We're at the stop & go aire at Benicarlo/peniscola and there's a Repsol garage at the end of the road with new GPL pump just installed and they have all the connections. We have heard that 2016 there will be one standard adaptor for all of Europe if you believe that!! Can't see it myself, but it would make life easier if they did.
 
Hi,

I had no problem last year,I only use one 6 KG bottle and a back up Calorlite in case I run out on a site and change back to the Gasit after refilling.
I just make sure the Gasit filler is facing out and the bottle is strapped down tight before going into garage.

No problem forecourt attendants were most helpful and in both cases had adaptors, they preferred to use theirs rather than mine. It appeared Repsol was the principle provider of Gas. our gait bottle has an external body mounted connector.
