Gas stove

Has anyone had this, all the gas appliances work but the cooker works when it feels like it. We have the hot water working and the fridge which is part of the two way valve but sometimes like this morning we had to go without our tea cos the gas cooker would not work. No gas coming through. Any ideas please.

Make and model of cooker will help?

Yes, When you say cooker I assume you mean all the hobs? and grill ?

If that is the case are all Isolation valves open ? Easy sometimes to knock one to the off position sticking something in a cupboard.

Is there just one regulator to your gas system ? If you are on a seperate system, is the UPSO valve underneath the regulator depressed ?

This one is a real weird one, does your hob have a drop down cover i.e gives a working surface when the hob is not in use? if it does are you sure it is lifted properly When you are trying to ignite the hob ? some have a pin switch which cuts of the gas unless it is opened fully ? sometimes the pin switches stick too.

Hope this helps for the time being.

Hi Channa, found switch at back on cooker hob, I may not have been putting glass fully back, played about with switch and now seems ok. We use the van alot so hopefully ok now. It may have been sticking. Thankyou for that.
