I've just purchased (from a UK Tesco branch) a Landmann Grill Chef gas barbecue that came with a regulator already attached. The problem is it seems to be too large for any UK cylinders. I've replaced it with one I already have but was wondering if the now redundant one is suitable for use abroad (not for the BBQ but for the van in case I ever need to get a bottle while over there).

In the pic below, the one supplied is red and my butane one is blue.

It looks like it is stamped 27 inside .Possible? patio gas

does look like the patio gas 27mm .measure it if its 35mm it will fit spanish /portugese bottles .
glo gas that used to be sold by the old gas boards was 35mm as well.

Why miss a trick!!

I changed mine for a std propane regulator within 2 mins of getting it home!!

If any one wants it, it's on the shelf.

BUT, the green patio cylinders look better than the red or blue, don't they!!

gets worse calor butane is 21mm but a few use 20mm ,
have come accross the 20mm on french bottlers as well.
even the old uk butane style as different versions germany use a slightly different fitting .some bottles you can get away with some not. france and morroco are ok . but the german one can catch you out . think its their reg that is different that wont fit our bottles . memory going . ha ha .

You lot are so cynical !!!!
It is purely so granny can be sent down B&Q on a wednesday !
Too many broken grannys in the shop was not good for business !

Wednesday used to be Wrinkly day, but now everyday is wrinkly day, long live us older buggers.

It's so when we forget what we've gone for, or even where the store is, there's another opportunity the next day.

10% off, yipee, but only if it's cheaper than 'tinternet!!
