hi this is a long shot but do anyone recall an article on here i think about 2 or 3 year ago about replacing the glass lid on a gas hob ?

it gave the name of a place in lancashire who would cut one to measure.

of course i did'nt take note of it never thinking i would need it.

put on your thinking caps. please.

maybe you may even come up with something else.

it is a 4 burner cramer hob.

thank you all

Hi Tony, long time no see.

Any reputable glass company will make one up from toughened glass if you supply a template.

Try Leisure Spares Ltd., I bought a Spinflow glass lid from them 2 years ago.

I left a burner on low when I lowered the lid, you can guess what happened, a loud bang & I'm still finding bits of glass 2 years later.

It came top of the list of "The most stupid things I ever did"

thank you both for your replies.
in this case it was hannah (wife) who put the lid down & bang it went.
one way to find out the glass is not flame proof.
