Researching charging options for when off grid. Genny is trusty and reliable. Fuel cells also look attractive as much quiter and the sip rather than guzzle gas.

The Truma one linky below looks interesting, 20A charge is pretty decent. Plumbed into LPG tank for fit and forget.

How do others get on keeping batteries topped up when off grid?

How do others get on keeping batteries topped up when off grid?

These have been around for a couple of years or so, but they cost around £6500+.
 
"Absolutely silent (19-22dB)". I don't think so - a whisper is about 4dB.

And the prices?

These sort of units are generally mounted on the underside of the van, so 19 - 22 dB would be a virtual whisper.

Each increase of 3dB equals a doubling of sound level, making 19dB thirty two times louder than a whisper. Granted, in practice the noise probably wouldn't be a problem, but no way can they be called silent.

If you had spent a lifetime in Heavy industry, you WOULD call it silent. :lol-049:
