We have just bought a gas BBQ from Go Outdoors which was very cheap at a tad under £15, but we have to also buy a gas tube and connector.
Does anyone know what connector is needed for an external gas point on a motorhome?
I have an external gas tap with what looks like a red tap and brass connector, but cannot figure out how it connects to a tube.
I have many 'destruction' manuals for almost everything else on/in the van, but nothing about the external gas point.

could be just a pipe and jubilee clip and regulator on bottle or a baonet depends what is showing a pic would be good as i don't have an external point but then again i cold just connect to my gas bottle .

Hi Beemer
If you go to any motorhome or caravan accessory outlet they will be able to supply with the connector and hose that you need

I asked the same ? A while back! I think you will find that it's a quick realease system you just plug it i'n. I think I paid something like £5 for the adaptertjong from caravan shop! I love mine! If you want to post a picture of it on here I can tell you for deffinate!

And because the internal gas pressure is regulated you can use a low pressure hose (black) which is not restricted in length like the HP red ones.

I too found the Cadac Safari Chef to be excellent.

PS Yes it looks like the right nozzle but you might want to confirm the diameter before you commit.

If you also but a spare with both parts, you can make up an extension pipe. We have and it works well even using the red high pressure hose.
Infact just been using it for a fry up with the Cadac Safari Chef!

Excellent idea Graf, hadn't thought about extensions! Nothing wrong with the red hose but you don't seem to be able to buy longer than about 2 m lengths (for safety reasons) whereas you can get the black off the internet pretty much whatever length you like. I settled for 3m as a good compromise but I like the extension idea.

That looks like the badboy, but I'm sure you can get them cheaper than that! You can take it back then if it is wrong!

All sorted now thanks all!
Went to Towsure today, 10% off everything, bought 3m of hose, a connector and a windbreak, all for £28. Connector was £2.35 with the discount!!! :D Just testing the BBQ and found the wind blows it out very easy, so I will be manufacturing a stainless surround.
Soon off the France for two weeks, so want to make sure all works well.:drive:
