The unit has full Europe mapping installed as originally supplied, and I have installed the latest OSM (Open Street Maps for Garmin) maps for the British Isles and France on an SD card. Other OSM maps can be installed; many countries are available including Morocco.

Software

BaseCamp
Use BaseCamp to plan your next hiking, biking, motorcycling, driving or off-roading trip. You can view maps, plan routes, and mark waypoints and tracks from your computer and then transfer them to your device.
BaseCamp displays your map data in 2-D or 3-D on your computer screen, including contour lines and elevation profiles. Load map data from your device, or import maps you've downloaded or purchased on DVD or microSD™ card.
BaseCamp lets you geotag photos, associating them with specific waypoints. You can see the exact scenery at any given location. Transfer the photos to your device, publish photos directly to Picasa™, or email your geotagged photos directly to friends or family so they can navigate right to your favorite spots in the future.
BaseCamp lets you view your current map location in GoogleEarth​

POI Loader
POI Loader allows you to load custom points of interest into your unit. The input files can be downloaded from the internet or you can create your own. With POI Loader for Windows, you can configure the unit to alert you when you are within a certain distance of a point or if you are driving over a certain speed near a point; perfect to warn you about upcoming schools zones and redlight and speed cameras. The unit will also allow you to search for and navigate to the loaded points of interest.​

MapSource (PC only)
MapSource is similar to BaseCamp plus it can display the Wild Camping POIs. It is also useful for transferring selected maps in the OSM format onto an SD card for use in the Garmin. Use Mapsource to create your own Custom POIs.​

Documents

The unit is in good condition but the battery doesn't hold much charge. This is not an issue whilst driving, when the unit is plugged in to your 12 or 24 volt socket, but limits its use when away from vehicle. A new battery can be purchased for less than £7 on ebay.
