Fuse keeps blowing!

Coming back from France my engine emissions light came on and speedo stopped working along with the cruise control. After a search it seems I have blown an engine management fuse (15A), but the replacement blew straight away. Luckily I was able to utilise the speed indicator on my sat nav for the remainder of my journey back to Sheffield.
Anyone else had this problem with a Peugeot Boxer engine (2.8 TDI)?

Further to the fuse blowing problems.....
Due to the fuse blowing the m/h has to go to a Peugeot dealer.
After a series of calls to Sheffield, it has been established that the m/h is too big for their workshops, so it is going to Peugeot in Worksop. Nice lady on service reception says it will cost you £60 just to be connected to a diagnostic machine..:scared: ...No way round it, bend over and take it like a er...man!:help:

I think something similar came up some time ago (if my memory serves me right).

The engines are fitted with a heating element for cold European mornings but it is not utilised on UK vans. There can be a short across it which blows the fuse. If this heater element is disconnected completely, it solves the problem.

I would speak to an experienced mechanic or auto electrician before lashing out £60. It's daylight robbery.

A wiring diagram would be useful to check this out.

If it's not under warranty go to an independant...they usually charge around £25 for the same check and give you a copy of the printout...£60 is the average dealer price

So m/h booked in for 09:30 this morning, with Bristol Motors of Worksop.
I authorised the diagnostic assessment and told it would take one to one and a half hours, so I pop down to the local cafe and get back 1.5hrs later, and told that they have still not found the problem which they believe to be a short on a cable somewhere and it would take longer.
Bristol Motors gave me a lift home (40 mins, Worksop to Sheffield, how kind) and I am to wait for their phone call, with a possibility of them delivering the m/h back home.

Update on motorhome repair...
Two and a half days later I get a phone call to say problem has been solved and vehicle ready for delivery or pick up.
Two and a half days seems excessive to find an electrical fault on a vehicle, but apparently there were two 'broken' cables which were shorting out. Bumper had to come off and cable bindings stripped back.
Total cost almost £200, a 12 month warranty on the repair but no mention on the invoice of a diagnostic check!
I am just happy to have my vehicle back and working! However, will need to speak to them as once I got the m/h home I discovered the greasy/oily marks on the paintwork.
