What is your lockdown plan?
I'm not too fussed but the wife wants to be close to her parents. So we're lucky to have friends with a horse field nearby who owe us favours big style. So even though they don't know it yet we plan to park up there with free electric hook up and water. We have the scoot as a runabout for shopping etc. Am kind of struggling to see our moho moving anywhere then for about four months, other than for LPG refills at perhaps 6 or 8 week intervals, as reckon Covid issues will get seriously bad over winter. Another option is on a local static site for £15/night but I just really quite hate that place and it would just get me down. But for free on top of the hill with often wind chill and great sunsets is just bliss in the moho! 👍

I was checking out our other lockdown options today and it was looking quite grim. A static site that does rentals was looking quite promising until they insisted on a minimum 6 month contract. I had a chat with a local campsite owner who had to seek clarification of lockdown rules from the local council, they informed her that all campsites and hospitality must close. So I phoned the local council to enquire whether they had made any provisions for full-timers with no other home that were being forced to leave such campsites, but they had never come across that issue before, so no! At least they are aware of it now. But they did add that if you have become homeless as not having access to services then it takes 56 days to process - longer than the initial lockdown!
We could just carry on stopping in local free spots but guess things could get more awkward?
So it's back to plan B for us, a friends horse field with water and electric. Just need to remove a couple of branches to get the moho down the track. Then use our scoot for shopping.

Friends field sounds a good bet a d if we get intermittent freedom then you could do a bit of sightseeing.
Very cheeky of a campsite demanding 6 month minimum - obviously don't want the business.
£15/night for no facilities is a bit strong!!

It was a 1 bedroom semi furnished small chalet on a residential site for £70/week + bills and c/tax. We were seriously considering it when we viewed but later realised that our moho is just better in very many ways - cooking, sleeping, chilling, cheaper! And we just couldn't face 6 months there. They said we could stay for 3 months but would have to pay for six, lol.
The £15/night was to park the moho on a different residential site with EHU but gave no discount at all for longer stays, but they have now closed anyway for camping during lockdown.

You could always come over and sort my garden<ww2 battle field> out, thats work for months sorted. 😂

Lazy bugger .. You have had the whole summer to sort it out or have you been spending your time drinking milk

Very generous of them to say that you have the right to not use all of the time youd paid for!!
In the best traditions of park home owners 😀😀

Someone put this up last lockdown might help

Looks good but it's advice written by those wanting the benefits of not being moved on - Hardly impartial 😀😀

Having said that a lot of councils are taking a more tolerant line at the moment providing nuisance is minimal.

Start of last lockdown camp sites were told to shut and there was a quick government backtrack when they realised there was such a thing as full timers.
The Gypsy and travellers site will probably post info first so keep an eye on that, like it or not you are now a traveller lol
Friends field may sound good but ,are sure you take suitable precautions if stopping gfora time in winter, tyres tend to sink into the grass unless you are on a decent hard standing. Careful of hardstandings made of road planings as you sink-in those as well as cheap tarmac jobs lol

Back on my son's drive for us I'm afraid and apart from LPG we won't have to move, we can just about manage 4 weeks on two full bottles. We've been full time for over a year, not the first year we had hoped for

Regards,
Del

Field is very soft but hardstanding is good. Had to buy a telescopic tree pruner to remove a low 4" branch to gain access, but could come in handy elsewhere, a small price for a months camping.

We are lucky, we have an old static at our sons which we transformed .we call it base camp...our own garden .
When we decide to go fulltime and rented our house out .
We realised then we could possibly need a mailing address and a base incase of illnesses ..
That was a good call..
