As I filled up the car this morning, I was trying to work out by how much diesel had gone up by....You have answered this question-too bloody much!
 
the british motorist has always had a raw deal from no matter what goverment is in power

I have driven past the same garage in Uttoxeter this week and derv has gone up TWICE!!! , not just the rise fron 1.09.9 to 1.12.9 but they don;t tell you if you use the 'posh' diesel its £1.17.9! scandalous:mad:
 
I have been thinking of changing to gas at .56 ltr now petrol/diesel have gone up to £124.9 £125-9 other than that I think I will get a go-cart.
 
I put the red stuff in from the oil central heating tank;);), It works just as well.

It does but they can seize your Motorhome now, I used to run it in my 4x4 as it was only used rarley and mostly off road then they would just fine you a couple of hundred quid, now they can take your car its just not woth it (IMHO)

Our Local Garage is now £1 26 and during the daft prices it was £1 44 dearer than most
places I think.

Two new tyres have gone up by £30 since we bought last time. Ouch it hurts.
 
shocking fuel prices

Just been to South Wales picking up a boat with our 2ltr camper (petrol )
cost well over £250 round trip:(

well it will come as a shock to AJ. He's not been able to use any for a month:D:D:D:D:D

I understand that diesel engines can be converted to gas, having read it somewhere. But is is very expensive, a lot of work and therefore probably not worth while.

OOOooops, You should not do this, as it has been said you can loose your vehicle and even if you stop now you will have to flush your whole system through as even very faint, dilute traces of red are detectable by the equipment they use..........
Plus and very worrying, they tend to snoop to find their targets:eek::mad:

Yes an expensive process that involves removing the diesel engine and replacing it with a petrol engine :D :D

Re running on red?

Hi Mark, there is a way around running the M/H, on that, But I will only pass it on by word of mouth. Tie up with you at the next meet, Got a mate that does it occasionally. Not for me I'm afraid. But you don't have to flush the tank out afterwards as you would expect. This one will drive you potty, but its proven and work's. It took a cute Welshman to work it out within the rules. (simples),

Picked my mate up from Birmingham airport last night, he's an oil worker. He wanted to know why the pump prices are going up, and its very, very cheap per barrel now.

Also do you remember the Lockerby bomber who only had two weeks to live with cancer. Well he's still OK, and Libya has given a long term oil contract to UK, instead of the Americans who have had it previously.
