Time for a new frying pan, one that is suitable to use on a 3 ring hob, copper, no-stick etc........like the look of the one you can cook in little compartments do they work?

Thanks in advance.

Take a look around local car boor sales they can be a real treasure trove cast iron (cost a fortune new) also goodplace to find knifes

Choose a pan with a detachable handle or oven proof handle and lid. This means you can use it as a cooking pot in the oven as well.

I use ridge monkey pan the full breakfast one with detachable lid the only pan I carry ideal for outdoor and indoor, with detachable handles folds up real neat, with separate compartments for each breakfast item you cook

I'm with the others, TKMaxx is definitely best for all sorts of quirky cookware, especially pans that fit small cookers & hobs in campervans :)

But do try to go to a TKMaxx store that is spacious & organised to save your sanity - some, like the one in Middlesbrough, are a complete shambles and you'll want to slit your throat rather than venture inside!

The stores near me at both the Metro Centre Gateshead and the Team Valley are much more pleasant, probably because the floor space is bigger and stuff much better organised/displayed.

Aldi have the stacking pan set with detatchable handle in at the moment. I bought mine & tested them over the weekend. A great space saver. No permanent handle means they can go in the oven too.

My type of pan

Just Googled ridge monkey now that could be the pan for me, are they as good as the reviews? bit expensive but sick of cheap pans and needing to replace them often time to invest in some quality, however jml copper base pan has also tweaked my interest.

Just looked up ridge monkey pans.

Don't know much about them, but if it's the 'combi' type they're around £30(?) which is not expensive for a quality pan - if they are as good as some people say they are.

If you want versatility a teppanyaki grill ,use tin foil takeawy trays for baked beans etc and egg rings if want pretty shaped eggs ...no washing up either

No Washing up??!! Don't you reuse takeaway trays and Tin Foil? Or have I just been living in Scotland for too long?!

Our local Aldi on Saturday and I might be tempted to buy them if they are any good

I did look at the jml pans but I found them heavy for me,and Sharon I saw those pans in my local Aldi and I was tempted to buy them

They won't last forever, but the space-saving makes them worth while, especially as oven pans too.
I haven't got completely to grips with the handle yet but less handles will be better on a small hob too.

When we used to go camping we had the stackable pans so I’m wondering if they are similar to those, you couldn’t put those in the oven though!

lol , you intend moving to Yorkshire . We can make Scots look like the most philanthropical nation on earth ,,, we still lick motorways for entertainment

Short arms long pockets in this county ! they say god designed the earth in 7 days 8th day after a practice invented Yorkshire ,,As an aside proud folk , salt of the earth, you will love it

Me too! they are good. Whether the non stick will last as long as tefal has to be seen. we now have the cheap (relatively very cheap, 1/4 the price ?) for the house and tefal in the camper.
