We started our 3 week trip on Monday staying at the Oban/ Barcaldine CCC site. Weather has been great so far I walked up to a reservoir behind the site. Then on Tuesday we got the bus into Oban which is 13 miles away.
Last night we wild camped in morvich, tonight we are in the CCC site in Morvich. The hills are of the site are breathtaking. We did a hill this morning, the views over Sheil bridge are gorgeous.
Tomorrow we’re of to the Gairloch for two nights.
Arrived Sands campsite, one of our favourites in Gairloch.
Walked along Big Sands beech this afternoon.
Spending two nights here, then heading up to Ullapool on Sunday.
Using an iPhone 14pro now which does raw images, and has three lenses. Wide, normal, and telephoto. I do carry a Panasonic compact for ultra telephoto up to 30X, but I hardly use it. Gone are the days of being weighed down with two bodies, four lenses, plus accessories.
