I have a 1985 T25 Autosleeper. I am having problems getting water to the tap. I have tried most things (I think) - the pump is newish its an Aqua Quiet power pump ( 6 ltrs a min Fiama). When I turn the power on to it it whirs gently so I am presumimg its working ok - I have googled it and its says its self priming - but just to be sure I have tried pouring water down the tap in case it needed priming - all this to no availe- have tried draining the water through a valve in the underside tank in case there was an airlock- can't think of anything else.... any tips gratefully recieved--- I am stumped?
Have an the pump for 15 mins in case it needed to have time to pull the water up? Willing to try anything before taking it to a garage... any ideas?

It might have been affected by the extreme cold if you did not drain down fully.

Sometimes a bit of water can remain in the pump due to the non return valve. You will need to take it out and check it for external cracks in the casing or damage internally.

I am not familiar with that pump. Is it located in the tank itself (submersible) or is it on the delivery line from the tank. If it is an inline pump, you could disconnect the pipework and substitute a temporary feed with a head of water. That should prove if it is working or not.

Priming problems will be between the tank and the pump, so pouring water down the tap probably won't help. All connections between tank and pump have to be spot on or pump may pull air, causing problems, so check these are all good. Experience with Shurflo pumps suggests trying the following.Switch on the pump, pucker up your lips and try sucking through the tap. This will encourage any air to pull through and it may then work ok. If it still misbehaves, may be a little dirt or debris in the pump head,( it doesn't take much to cause problems) or frost damage as already suggested.

diaphragm

Had similar trouble with my Sureflow a few months ago - not sure about your model but mine stripped down easily and I changed the rubber diaphragm even though the original looked OK. The sectional diagrams on the internet helped. i got my spare (and previous ones from excellent store at leisure shop direct.com

Check and see if you have a filter somewhere in the delivery . I had a similar problem in my Hymer when i disconnected the pump from the delivery hose I had a good flow and pressure just then had to find where the filter was then.

My pump seems to be working okay, except, tap from the bathroom flows beautifully, the tap from the kitchen area, just drips. Any ideas why this is so? Appreciate some advice.

Many taps have an aerator on the spout that can get blocked. If it just drips on both hot and cold then that may be the problem

Tony, I gave the tap heads a good clean up today by soaking them in descaler. Then poked each and every hole with a needle. As I said the shower tap has good pressure, the kitchen tap dribbles. Any other thoughts??
