French Motorway Tolls

Our motorhome is 3 metres high and 5 tonne GVW so already pay higher tolls

French will be holding a few strikes over increases, they just love strikes.

That petition is to get the tolls reduced from class 2 to class 1 I think.

When out and about in the MH we very rarely use toll motorways, just one or two that can really save you time and don't cost a great deal. If you were to use them all the time here in France the total amount per year would easily exceed the price paid for road tax in the UK. So the tip has to be, unless you need to get somewhere in the shortest possible time (fortunately usually we don't) stay off the tolls.

I signed it but do not intend to go on any Autoroutes if at all possible. ~However the site came back asking for money to send it to other people £50 for 5000 more punters. I would not do it again , nor should you.

Added my name. I clicked on No and passed at the prompt seeking money, all good. Although we are just over 3 metres but under 3.5tonne but we tend to avoid French toll roads.
