The adapter for my pigtail here cost €35.40 and the bottle €22.50

I opened one with them a while ago at your suggestion. I have had a few bits and bobs from them but I have still not forgiven them for selling me that dodgy automatic emergency gas shut off valve that leaked. I know it was not their fault as they don't make them but it puts you off when you find your van stinking of gas. :)

that was awhile back.
i dont like gaslow bits as i have seen some terrible things wrong with their fittings and pipes .
i find bes great. and cheap.
my mate was a plumber before he came in with me in the garage must be 35 years ago . i was amazed then and still am how their prices are competitive.
i know mistakes happen . but bes are good at sorting things i find .
i use them quite often .

Did you get a bottle yet? I'm a coffee addict and I know what it's like without a slurp in the morning. That's why I started carrying a portable as back up.:D

I know what you mean,i ran out of gas a few weeks ago when I got up for my morning cuppa,i couldn't deal with driving to the garage to get gas without coffee in the blood so I lit half a dozen tealights, put them on the hob with the kettle on,took a while but managed to get my fix.

I got the adapter from a caravan place: Le Mignan Arnaud near Plouharnel

Im now in vannes and sorted, but thank you

Great idea, might start carrying some T lights now, could double up as lighting if my batteries go down.

This is exactly what we found in the last supermarket, bought their own bottle and the first caravan store sold us the adapter end that made our pigtail fit the bottle.

glad you are sorted ..... you were lucky to find an adaptor to convert a uk pigtail [ calor propane ?]
but as it is usually cheaper to just fit a new pigtail and that is universally available it isn't a problem if you can't

have just seen what you paid for an adaptor so change my comment ...you were unlucky ...you could have changed the pigtail for under €10 !!!
