For sale - Christmas pressie's maybe.

Got some good vintage Ports if your interested Rob.

Actually, I've got some rare beers at around 11%. JWLees and some others, must dig those out.

I do love a drop of Vintage Port Ral.

I've got a nice bottle of Warre's lying around somewhere.

Got a few lurking in the cupboards Rob, usually throw a splash or two in with game dishes. In between necking a bit obviously.

Just had a look, Cockburns, Taylors and a Penny Hill, still sealed. The Warres is dropping alarmingly!

I prefer Tawny Port, I do have some vintage port mind

Julie informs me that me and a mate drank my bottle of Warre's a couple of years ago when we went out on the boats. I remember now, we left the pub at midnight and sat drinking it on the river bank with a couple of fine Cigars.

Whilst looking through the cupboard just now I discovered 3 bottles of Graham's and a bottle of Taylor's - the Taylors had been opened and re corked at some point! What was left in the bottle went straight down the sink, it must have been opened a good 3 or 4 years ago!

Last year I decided to retire, I was in Monaco at the time and a friend gave me a very rare Taylors Vintage Port, another friend gave me some Monticristo cigars.

Me and my mate Rusty went back to our Hotel in Antibes, we did a BBQ outside the van and talked about the next stage of our lives etc, I ended up carrying him to his room.

In the morning I went down to the van to tidy up and make breakfast found an empty bottle of Taylor’s 1927 and 5 empty Monticristo Robusto tubes.

I’d drank no Port and smoked no cigars

Did you not check it ? Fortified wine might still have had some life in it

Isn't it supposed to be drunk within six months of its production?

We used to celebrate Beaujolais day in London Barry, there was always a race to see which pub could get the first bottles in. We would be in the pub by 7am or earlier to start on it - it was rank!

It was a case of saying to the landlord "That was fekkin orrible. Gimme another" :)

Oh yes! A Beaujolais Breakfast! Pretty sure Ive had one or two. I would be up for that followed by a good roll around Hyde Park barking at Pigeons. Did you then go to work? :D

We usually rolled into work at about 10 did a little bit for an hour or so then left a skeleton crew of teetotal erberts to cover the rest of the day whilst we went back to resume where we left off. :)
