Fogstar are now offering a 10% discount on their Drift range using code OFFGRID10.

I see they have also now introduced a 334AH version at £789 and a 668AH version at £1169 to which the discount should also apply.

Just wondering as that would make the 334AH battery around £710 and you could get the superior (with integral heater) 320AH Polarmax from Alpha Batteries for £500 without any discount.
Instead of the 668AH Drift at around £1,050, you could get Alpha's Polarmax 640AH for £900 (without any discount).
Yes, the sizes are a little smaller, but the heater makes up for that as well as the lower price.

That's the price on the website David. The Drift range have an integrated heater as well. Were you looking at the Drift ECO range which don't have the heater?

I got two eco worthy batteries 314 AH £400 each quite neat and loaded with features. Working a treat was out for four days last week wild camped using everything in the van tried to give them a hammering to see how good they were and they never went below 75%. For the way I use my van now with the odd trip to a site here and there with hook ups. I don’t think I’ll bother with solar panels now. I would rather add another one or two of these leave home with them fully charged should be good for a week maybe two with the odd bit of charge from alternator until I get on a hook up. Maybe David or Merl can tell me if I’m thinking straight.

It can be done Wully depending on how often/far you move, but I like to have a shed load of solar just to make sure.
