In my motorhome I have 2 corner bulkheads in the cab. In bare grey plastic, they need tarting up. In an episode of "Wheeler Dealers" I saw, the guys "flocked" a bare plastic surface and ended up with a fibre-coated item which was smooth as velvet. I want to know if anyone's either had a go at this, or does anyone know of a company who will help me to "get flocked" !! cheers Steve

theres about a billion things on that link, ill get them all just in case, flocking marvlous.

Did some "flocking" commercialy about 55 Years ago in a furniture factory. The main problem then was the very fine fibres went everywhere as you have to have too many otherwise the item being "flocked" has bald spots on it.
I would look at sticking velvet cloth on it if the shape makes that alternative practical.

I did quite a bit of this years ago but as i get older the frequency has dropped off and i hardly do any now. SORRY misread the title :):):)

get flocked

I've decided either to get flocked professionally, or do without. The idea of what terrible results I could achieve make even 20 quid for a kit a waste of money. Ive done some research into flockers, which continues. If I do go ahead, i'll post the results and process. I still think it would be a massive improvement on two naked bare plastic towers. cheers everyone.
