Why so many flies / midges on Sylvia ??
Any ideas anyone ?

Don't repaint it yellow! We carry a mains powered fly killer in Murky as there has been so many of the buggers this year.

Fortunately they stick to the outside, had a Queen Wasp start to make a nest in May of this year has been the only internal issue, luckily we caught the problem in time.
 
We have a general infestation of Harvest Flies this year in the general Borders area. they were horrible little things - so tiny impossible to stop (they even managed to get under the name sticker on the fridge!
I just waited until they were gone and then washed and cleaned stuff as no point in doing anything at the time as they'd just instantly reappear :(
