First time away in a while ....

Managed two weekends away in the van last year (first couple of bank holiday weekends )
And vans not turned a wheel since ....

Anyway last few weeks were spent washing the green mold and crap off it
And fitting new glow plug/screen to the eberspacher etc etc
As well as a heap of cleaning inside .

Headed off with the other half and hounds yesterday to North Wales
Through some biblically heavy weather yesterday and crap traffic.

Couple of nights on our face CS site near to Cemaes bay ...
(£15 on hard standing without electric
Shower/toilet/dump/water/etc )

Wood fired pizza at side of Cemeas bay and walk on the beach between showers .

Away till next Sunday ....and it feels bloody fab

Well your away now so make the best of it. WE haven't used ours since oct last year and are hoping I will be be clear of hospital apps by June

Nice pics and glad you got away finally. Dunno what its like where you are but I bet the Lakes are heaving this weekend (Easter). A66 has been absolutely choked this end of it today. Stayed well away.

Michelle is hoping to get away soon in ours but Im not going until I see a decent forecast.

I hope you have a great 2024, and manage to make many more journeys with your dogs. I’m sure they will love getting out in the van. I only wish I had a van when I had my dog, he would have loved it. So happy travels for 2024, and nice photos.

Can understand the warmth ....
Though with the eberspacher ticking over its cosy ...

The damp I'll live with it's been so long since we've escaped .

Headed over to the Llyn peninsula ...

One of our fave spots ....

Price has increased from £15 to £20 a night without hook up (£2.50 per dog)

BUT new toilets/shower block and waste points etc ...

Nice field with pretty much private beach and chilled vibe .

Other half has been swimming (she needs her bumps reading )

And dogs are flaked after swimming and chasing ball ...

Yup ....prices have gone up BUT


That said I'm not complaining

Facilities have improved a good deal ...and the owners aren't greedy .

Along with wanting folks to enjoy their stay and not suffering idiots .

On to Shell Island now .....looks like it's been bedlam over the Easter break ...
Weather wise,lot of badly churned up fields .

Heyho ...we're tucked up down by the harbour on solid ground .

Have to say ....having been visiting here since 1966 ...
It's still very much one of my fave places .
