, workshop fire on so can stay in shorts n Tshirt seeing as it's only minus twa.

Wouldn’t say it was cold when I came in with the dogs off the beach around 17:30 last night. Put diesel heater on set at 10 degrees and it did come on overnight. Heavy rain before midnight and a glorious sunrise this morning. Out on the beach with the dogs and already a few fisherman there

Looks like it’s going to be our first night of frost. Just remembered to go out and drain down the van. I’m a bit of a nut job prepper with all this garbage about power cuts and stuff I’ve been prepping the van so that if the power dose go off I’ve got full tanks of gas water and stuff to camp out in the driveway. I know I’m a nut job but better to be prepared hope I don’t need to. I’ve even rigged up my generator to run the house fridge just in case. 🤪😵‍💫🥶 anybody else thinking this.
quite sensible.....always be prepared...lots of folk dont think about water storage and purifying tabs even if they have a van.

This was Stinchar Bridge in mid October last year.

On the very night our gas heating went tits up.

Cheers

H

I Bought two of them superser gas fires today to give the heating a boost. I’ve got two 10k safe fill gas bottles that I use for everything £7 a whip to fill or £45 for a 13kg calor the refillable safe fill bottles are a no brainier. Until the wallpaper starts peeling wae the moisture.

Thanks for reminding me - must get the gennie out to give it a once over and see if it starts! I haven‘t used it since Storm Arwen when we had 6 days without power and the gennie (plus the 2 wood burning stoves) was a lifesaver for us.

Watch for carbon monoxide poisoning, leave a small window open.
