Can anyone recommend a garage in the Glasgow area to replace a broken Fiat Ducato wing mirror surround?
Thanks

Approach I would take (and did, as I had a hole in my Mirror housing) is get a pair of Mirror Protectors. I would think they would be cheaper than a single replacement mirror and also are functional (get the White ones and people coming are more likely to see you).

Me too, used the damage as part of the bargaining.

I got these in 2021

Same price too

They also do the surround or full mirrors with glass and heated for not much more, see other items.

The covers have been on over two years been bashed a few times but still look good so not cheap crap.

I replaced the passenger one in March 2022. It was cheap to buy on eBay, but make sure it will fit your van before ordering.
It wasn't that hard to do, and perhaps you should have a try first.
Hope this help! Cheers.

and I am only a DIY er........

Thanks, Pudsey Bear, will look into it.

Ha ha. Is this an epidemic? I just lost my n/s wing mirror completely yesterday (Citroen Relay) while making room for a fast approaching oncoming vehicle. Aaarghh. What a shock. Sounded like a gunshot going off. Stopped and searched the road, couldn't find the blessed thing til I noticed it still there, dangling by the electrics. (Doh!) Nice dunt in the door too. Aaarghh again.
Anyway, managed to disconnect all the cabling and detached the wrecked item and have ordered a reasonably priced full electric replacement off eBay. Fingers crossed
Although the whole wing mirror unit was ripped off, the actual protector I put on a couple of years ago is totally undamaged and can be re-used !!!

Any advice/handy tips on installing the new electric unit when it arrives glady received.

Me too. Did the same and dead easy to fit. Just make sure you order the short arm variety (based on your photo)

Sorted already thanks to
https://www.thewingmirrorcompany.co.uk/ (highly recommended)
a few YouTube videos and a bit of handy work.
At £81 not the cheapest on eBay but excellent quality, "free" delivery (included 2 heated adjustable mirrors, plus indicator repeater)

We live 10 miles from the nearest A road and the way there is down a sometimes very narrow road. Having had my wing mirror been hit twice and lost once, I now drive the 10 miles with it tucked in. It takes some getting used to only having the near side one to use but I take it slow anyway.
