Please can anyone help. My near side indicator when turned on flashes once or twice then stops. The bulb and all connections have been checked, cleaned. We are now looking for the relay , have traced the wires but they disappear. We have a autotrail cheyenne 696 LB 59 plate with small garage at the back. We cant see if the wires go up at the back of wood panelling in the garage or if they run under the floor towards the front of the vehicle. Have searched for info diagrams but can only find what we have already got (Fiat book and autotrail road lighting circuits ) these tell me that all the wires go to a Fiat rear light connector Y203
but we cant find where the Y203 is. Doing my head in now:mad1: any info gladly received.

autotrail indicators

+1 for Willy, sounds like a bad earth.

Hiya, just wanted to up date you on the problem we HAD. We tried putting a new earth to it but no go. Hubby decided to to go round all the terminals he could see and give them a dose of electrical cleaner. Doing this he followed the wires from the rear lights and they disappeared over the top of the chassis, and when he felt the wires (he couldn't see then) they were exposed. He cut the wires so to get them off the chassis and when he saw them, its a wonder we hadn't gone up in smoke. 3 of the wires were bare, insulation had worn away because they were pulled tight over the chassis and obviously chaffed through, they overheated and 4 wires welded together. One of these being the indicator wire. Really feel that we were very lucky. We have now lengthened the wires joined them with straight connectors. Thanks very much for your help.

Sounds like Autotrail and Compass ( my van ) used the same Electrical Team then ....................... :mad1:

I have spent hour upon hour underneath tidying and sorting out the abortion that they have done with the wiring.

Several of the wires had become trapped when they lowered the body on to the chassis.

I cut, extended and re-routed them and then spent ages using cable ties to tidy everything up nice and neat.

Well done to the British Motorhome Industry.
