Does anyone know of anyone who specialises in repairing Fiamma awnings as mine wont retract all the way home after having the sheet repaired. I need someone who has got experience in setting up the awning and preferably in the cheshire area.

Agent Fiamma in Northenden, Manchester would be worth a try. It is part of Camperlands and they have a team of Fiamma experts.

appologies for opening an old thread but I had a simialar issue as this at the weekend, my heart sank until I remembered reading an article at Home Page and Links to pages of Ourwanderer Motorhome based on the Peugeot Boxer Diesel Engine.
This cured my problem and possibly belongs in the Numpty section

OMNISTOR WIND OUT AWNING

We found ourselves unable to wind in and secure our Omnistor wind out shade awning, while in France this year. While touring I noticed one Motorhome who had taped up the awning to secure it.

After much winding and fault finding I called into a French Caravan dealer who took one look at it and pronounced;
" Wound the wrong way"

It would appear by unwinding to it's full extent, then rewinding, the roll had wound over the top of the roll, then when it reached the housing it could not be placed into it.

The cure, unwind to it's full extent, then rewind ensuring the roll is wound below the roll.

Hello, it could be damaged inside it needs taking off the van and unwinding.
We were in greece and packing up to leave we found our fiama would not wind in... what a day, hubby took it off and we had to travel all the way back to france with it in the van.
we had it repaired in Italy at the fiama shop, we would be interested to know how much they charge in the UK for the repair. They changed the sheet and quite allot of the mechanical bits and put all back together and put it back on the van for us, works a treat now. Hope you get it sorted

(I have no shares, but it is an unique oportunity to highlight a Belgian firm :cool:)

Not looked to see if it is wound the wrong way but could ba a possibility, After going to the motorhome show today at the NEC and speaking to Fiamma im going to book it in with a authorised dealer to sort it out as I really need to get it sorted over the winter months.
