Looking through and came across this

certainly didnt look like that today!
hoping for more snow overnight to get back on the hills again, crampons at the ready...

Appeared in the Loch Morlich car parks last summer. They ask you to park at Alt Ban which is in the woods with no view and lots of midge.

I can understand the reasons behind the signs. Go to the exact spot in Lairdys pic and you won't need to walk far to find human sh1te and the likes. The car park beside the Loch and next to the campsite has toilets which makes this less of a problem.

Looked at the pictures and thought that can’t be today can it? Then saw later posts saying it wasn’t today haha.

Always nice to know I could drive from Dewsbury approx. 386 miles and I know exactly the spot no sat nav or map required.

Married days, this time of year we rented a cottage at the edge of Loch Pityoulich , walking the dog around Loch Morlich and gorging on Ecclefechan tart with cream in the Bridge Inn was natural purgatory for the benefit of mankind I may have to repeat the experience

Re who owns the land the FC operate the site , but I wonder if they actually own it or lease from Rothiemurcus Estate ? My point being if they are leasing, there could well be covenants in the lease.

Someone mentioned a couple of weeks ago France v Scotland for a holiday, I find it a tough call.

Same as. I could drive there blindfolded.

I've also eaten in the bridge many times, and they know me quite well in the bar in the Cairngorm hotel.

a few small campervans were staying by the side of loch morlich last night.

didnt have chance to check the signs though, but at this time of year there are plenty of places to tuck away from view.
Dave.

It's one of my favourite haunts and loads of beautiful spots to park up without going to the honey pots i.e. Loch Morlich.

I would say France for the weather and Scotland for the scenery
