Those Fammia boxes are extraordinarily expensive, I've seen camper vans advertised cheaper. Is there a cheaper equivalent, anyone made their own?

On my last van, I fitted a Fiamma Cargo Back.

It is not quite as secure as a box but I only put items in of not a lot of value, chairs, loungers, freestanding TV aerial etc.

It is bigger in capacity than a back box and straps to the cycle rack. I never managed to fill it to the top.

They cost about £70 I think.

Saw a bongo at last years bash with one of these green garden cushion storage bims fixed to a bak-rak loads of room and as it has wheels /casters it can be taken off at camp and sited behind awning.
I use a fiamma box on my cycle rack with a home made alarm fitted to the lid. also a small red notice on it next to the locks saying "switch off alarm in cab before opening".;) never had a problem so far, touch wood.

Fits on the bike rack with bike cable lock around it or under the bed. Cost me £20 but I see its up for £30 now. Not advertised as waterproof but mine has not let any in.
