Hi from a wild and windy Maryport. My external screen cover blew off at 5am last night! It was 5 years old and on its last legs anyway.
Any recommended replacements? I bought this one from Magnum but they no longer sell that model.
I'm aware of the internal/external debate and still want an external cover despite the nocturnal escapade.

We use Silver Screens. Expensive but never had an issue with them.

If you want contact this company they may make them while you wait and if you are a member here and motorhomer they may give you a discount here's a snap contact ,I've had externals from them and never had any issues

What vehicle is it for?

Taylormade for me every time...

Great family firm
Great quality product
The extra long (to cover screen vents) is a nice option
As is the privacy mesh for times you don't want to remove the whole screen and or want light and privacy.

We've had several sets from them and I wouldn't go anywhere else for the next set.

What is the privacy mesh? Is it the ability to fold down the front or is it something extra?

The screen part has 2 velcro strips down either side...
Pull those down and it leaves a fine mesh over the screen to let light in but makes, it difficult to see in
Then if you pull the velcro strips on that then the mesh comes down and leaves the screen completely clear

Ah OK, thanks. That looks good. The website didn't seem clear to me.
It's a bit old school lol....

I've always found it best to ring them... I missed the privacy bit off one of my orders...
When I realised I rang them and they sent me the mesh part out next day.

The extra long ones are worth having IMHO as it keeps draughts from the fresh air vents on the scuttle.

It's the motorhome equivalent of net curtains.
Much loved by the motorhome curtain twitchers.

I am always amazed at how blatant many french motorhomers (other nationalities are available) are as they stare into your van when walking past on Aires.
On the A classes It must be like looking at a giant TV screen, but a pretty boring programme on view.

They've clocked your UK designator and are looking to see what sort of people have motorhomed to France to escape the war in UKraine. ;)

In fact, I am from Northern Ireland and I use NI stickers on the front and rear number plates. We were excluded from the GB plate for 100 years, so I don't want people thinking I am Ukrainian or a GB refugee.

It confuses the hell out of the Dutch who don't seem to know the difference between an I and an L.

Occasionally a sharp eyed observer will notice the fact that the van is right hand drive, but I reckon it is down to people's nosyness. Just some people are a bit blatant about staring in as they pass.
