Extend your parking time cheaply and beat parking charge notices. Legal loop hole.

I literally can't remember the last time I paid for parking anywhere. :D Mind you when I think about it probably the most miles we do in a year is on two wheels not four
I like stopping in towns as much as country.
Don't pay very often in Europe but UK town parking is seldom free .
Have used these apps but not for overnighting yet .
Think someone mentioned them on another thread fairly recently?

Sorry, but totally missed the point of last post, so:
Can someone please explain in simple terms the procedure within the App'. I have the App. Somehow with all the waffle, the relevant procedure was totaly lost on me.

Main reason for dragging out 60 seconds of information is probably to make the video long enough for the algorithm to insert mid roll adverts which iirc needs to be at least 15 minutes

Another reason is often simply to generate comments like the many repetitions of same already posted in this thread
The worst YouTubers also tend to milk the comments by asking pathetically simple questions of their assumed audience to generate even more comments.

Comments also feed the algorithm.

Some of us don’t give a toss how many views we get, despite having churned out over 200 of them many of my own videos will only ever appeal to a very small minority or are primarily for my remote families benefit.

Totally agree with this. YouTubes algorithm is probably responsible for so many long winded videos. I don't get it because as far as I'm aware you need literally millions of views before you make any money and none of these videos ever get close to that.

I have several hundred music videos on YouTube. I do it for fun and my own library of muso guff to look back on. It's always a nice surprise if anything makes a few thousands views or even a few hundred and if a handful of people give you nice comments that's great. I had one hit 55000 views once but I've never made a bean out of any of them. Nore would I ever expect to.

I think people do make lots of money out of YouTube but probably young influencers etc.

What's a algorithm?

What's a algorithm?

Software code that analyses videos and ranks them according to parameters that YouTube define and also its used to show you stuff it thinks you would might like to watch based on your activity. Facebook and other social media also use them.

Thanks for that Barry .
I will probably forget all that in the next 30 seconds

Its like AI kind of. It learns about you. If I just scroll randomly down facebook all the stuff I see is motorbikes, music / guitars, motorhome stuff etc and oddly lots of things about sharks and surfing. I don't have a pet shark and my surfing days are long gone. :D

I kind of get it but right now I'm still trying to understand logarithims

I friends in Grub Street will always use a thousand words where 100 will do, same with politicians.

Has anyone actually used Myparkingspaces with a van? Or encountered any problems with’sleeping and cooking’? They say most spaces are ok for ‘a large 4x4’. A neighbour has a 4x4 Mercedes based coachbuilt motorhome 6.3m long! Hmmm?

The people in the vid claim to have used it on a number of occasions in their converted hgv.
