i've just seen another thread about ADAC,looks like these seem to be the best bet...if anyone knows can you just call them and pay by card?

i've got 0049 941 55673 off the other thread and also 01805 101112 of the internet, any idea which is best number to use?

I'm with ADAC, can't remember what number I called them on but they will usually put you through to an English speaker. One point to make note of with them is that your membership is automatically renewed unless you cancel 3 months before it expires (not that I'm considering leaving) You can't set a direct debit to pay it though & have to do it with a card payment.

You get coverage for anything you are driving /riding, tried to attach a copy of the T&C but won't allow file size above 19.5k but if you ask they will email you a copy or you can PM me & I will send them.

i'e just seen the post chris,i'll be using the phone number earlier on in the thread first thing monday morning..the automatic renewal should be ok really, its far better the the AA and i've been renewing that for 20odd years..its unbelievable what we get charged over here when you can get that level of cover from another country for less than half price..
thanks for the replys

Hello
ADAC for me
Proof of the pudding is what happens when you break down. On my last 3 month trip I had to call them out twice. Once on the Autobahn and once in the Dolomites.
Could not fault the service. The first German guy of course spoke near perfect English. The second Italian guy could not speak English but got an interpreter on his mobile. The first fault was caused because the earth strap had not been fitted correctly by a UK main Fiat dealership. The next fault was caused by me putting Bio Diesel in the tank by mistake.
My daughter lives in Germany and she tells me everyone is in ADAC.

Blue Skies

If you want to join ADAC here's how.

Pinched from another website.

FOR INFORMATION, ENQUIRIES ETC.,

Email. amanda.moser-wickles@sby.adac.de

or Telephone enquiries and to join and pay my debit/credit card phone offices Tel No. 00 49 941 52344 and speak to one of the four staff who speak fluent English.

Ms Amanda Moser-Wickles, Ms. Barbara Lorenz, Ms. Tanja Niedermeier or Markus Maier.

If you get an answer phone message when ringing this number it tells you they are extremely busy and to leave a message in German. If you leave, your name and telephone number and reason for ringing, they will get back to you.

If you phone just say:

"Guten morgen ( or arben for afternoon) sprechen sie English bitte."

and you will be passed onto an English speaker. I spoke to Barbara Lorenz, she's a really nice person to speak to. One word though, learn your phonetic Alphabet first. :lol-053:

Just emailed ADAC using the email addy that canalsman provided,so as of now i'm awaiting a reply,if i dont get one by tomorrow mid afternoon i'll be on the phone..
someone mentioned quick fit in a post for their breakdown cover...just be aware of the dimensions and weight of your van as kwikfit have limits..
this ADAC membership seems a no brainer to be honest.

big thankyou to everyone who replied to my thread....i used the email address in the post above,,,i gave them my phone number and address and they called me this afternoon,,sorted!!
