EU Pet Passports no longer valid for UK residents

I went into my vet in Bruges and got Molly’s passport updated, rabies jab, worming tablets. €95 all in.

She then told me AHC are no longer required for exit from UK and the EU pet passport is sufficient, new rules in the last couple of days. If and when a new EU pet passport is required she is permitted to supply them to non-EU residents.

Good stuff . Keep a note of their details .
Though I have had some odd dealings with one or two Belgian vets . One insisted there was no requirement for the worming tablet . Filled in the passport , refused to take any money!

That's interesting. I like to think i have my finger on the pulse over this, but that's the first I've heard that. I'd suggest keeping her contact details quiet for now, just in case.

Umm, obviously that's not what the EU law has decided. If you arrive with an EU PP that's issued after the cut off date and you do not have EU residency in your own passport questions may be asked.

There needs to be a Guinea pig to test it. Not that Guinea pigs need a passport :)
