Prepping the MH for use tomorrow, everything fine then the master switch on the consumer unit tripped now it won't reset.
MH is a 2005 Adria 680SL Coral

!2 volt is fine so can possibly get away without 240v for tomorrow, however, we need the 240v from Thursday to Monday.

I'm crap at electrics, any advice, please use terminology that a 4 year old would understand.
My guess it is one of the fuses? Any idea which would be the likely candidate?

Thanks.

I don’t know the consumer unit layout, but I’d start with ensuring mains is connected, then turning each MCB off then turning the master switch back on.

If the master switch stays on then I’d flick each MCB back on one at a time and wait until the master switch kicks out, when it does you’ll know which circuit has the issue.

Once you’ve done that make a note of the circuit and come back here.

Turn off the breakers and unplug everything inside the van.
Try and reset it.

Had to dismantle the fridge cabinet to access the plug except the socket wasn't there. Had a good poke around the water pump and heater, no plug or socket there.
Traced a mains cable under and across the floor to the cabinet housing the consumer unit. Next to the consumer unit is the elektroblock as pictured. Underneath there is a tangle of wires but no plugs or sockets!

Next course of action is to get my wallet out and pay someone who knows what they are doing!
Oh well, such is life.

I'm confused ( nothing unusual about that!)

This says 12v is OK, problem with tripped 240v breaker

the master switch on the consumer unit tripped now it won't reset.

But this is a photo of the 12v distribution unit, only 230v bit is the input cable at top right.

This unit converts 230v ac to 12v dc and then distributes 12v to various devices (water pump / lights/ control panels /etc)
The 12v going to the different circuits pass through fuses which are under the oblong blue bit across the middle of the unit. N.B. 12v blows fuses / 230v trips breakers.

Can you clarify the problem, preferably with a photo showing the "Tripped" master switch.

Bit early for that.

On most 230 v breakers the switch is Up = on; down = off (Just like at home except it is the exact opposite!).
On one site a young female camper on her first solo trip had spent over an hour sorting out her 230v before I helped and pointed this out.
I was rewarded in the best possible way .... a cup of tea made using the functioning electric kettle.

Ral, did you do turn off all the 240v breakers and try and reset? Like in post 2? What happens when you do?

Woohoo YES YES YES YES!!!!!!

I've only gone and fixed it!! 😁😁😁

I enlarged the photo of the consumer unit and noticed the label that said 'push monthly'. I've never pushed it in the 3 years we've had the mh. 😳
I pushed the top thingy, clicked the master switch up - lo and behold we now have 240v.

Anybody wants their vehicle or house rewiring just give me a ring, I'm an expert. 😉🤫
Thanks one and all. ❤️

Hmm, that shouldn't have happened, must be some sort of quirk with the test button but hey ho, you're a genius Ral.

Still confused
What does this mean ?
Followed #2 the breakers act the way they should.
With the main isolator off the other two breakers have no power and will just move up and down when you move them.

Two things for you to do and feedback.

1) confirm
a) The EHU cable in in place and power is reaching it.
b) With the other two breakers in the off (down) position the master will not reset.

2) try pressing the test button a couple of times and then repeat "1" above.
My understanding is that the consumer unit is acting as if the test button is being held in.
It could be that the main isolator is faulty. This are a standard (home not caravan) part and are a straightforward replacement.
Withluck the bill will be nearer £20 than £50.

Just read your post and see that the answer was 2, still better late than never.

Have a good trip.

Every days a school day!! (y)

Actually, another thanks to r4dent, if he hadn't asked for a pic of the consumer unit I would never of spotted that label. The unit is side on and difficult to get my head in the cupboard to see the unit face on. The master switch has clicked off on a couple of occasions but has reset once clicked on again, this time though it just wouldn't reset - until I pressed that grey button in which I have never noticed or used before.
