Hi
I am just wondering if anyone has had any experience of these batteries?
It seems a very good price at the moment.
Regards

Hi
I did say around!
I just wanted any user info.
Regards
You can get a refurb for a penny under £350 which is what I thought you had seen but new from manufacturer for just another £18.01.

At one time the only downside of these batteries was they didn't have bluetooth and temperature control so I you thought you needed that they weren't as popular. However you can get that now if you want and the link I put includes it. They are excellent value in my opinion and if I was after Lifepo4 now I would be buying them.

I would like to add an extra battery to my 2x100Ah but just can't justify the cost when my 6 year old lifepo4 still does what I need, (bit more would make it easier in Winter), more buffer).

I am not one for spending money on brands and fads (unless it says Yamaha) I always look at what you get for the money and these take some beating. You can get cheaper but this is a big manufacturer and known brand

Thanks for that.
I am in a situation similar to yourself.
I have 1x100ah Relion which has served me well and was a direct replacement for lead acid. No alterations were made and no problems.
My van is 2017 2.3 Ducato.
I have no B2B but as I live in France and am generally wild camping on the Continent, have no problems except on winter trips to UK possibly. We even lived in the van for 15 months in the U.K. when we misguidedly thought that we might return to live there.
So, a 7 year old battery which cost £800 but of course if it suddenly goes, I have no power!!
Against maybe replacing for 3 x the power for half the cost of my original?
Do you think that it would just slot in as my last one did without any changes?
Kind regards

When you say no alterations were made I take it your solar either has gel or lifepo4 settings and you don't usually use mains charging? I ran for a while when I first fitted mine using gel settings on mains charger but I used to switch it off when battery reached 100%SoC and it has had no detrimental effect on my battery.

If you have lifepo4 fitted already then swapping for different lifepo4 shouldn't be a problem in my mind, I am NOT a sparky though. In my experience having correct charging sources means it is more efficient rather than a problem. Voltages given from my charge sources were within spec for my TN Power battery bank so I was fairly confident it would all be ok, was early days for having lifepo4 then as well.

Expect different views on this though, I am only going from what I have done myself, I do now have all charge sources set for lifepo4

Thanks, very informative.
I do have gel settings on my solar through the Victron 75/15 with 220 watts of solar.
If I need mains charging I just plug the van in and have never had any problems. This doesn’t happen often though.
Could you tell me whether it is worth spending the extra for the Bluetooth?
486€ Bluetooth with low temp, 393€ for the low temp model.
Up to now I have been very happy with the information that the Victron displays have given me via the app.
Best wishes

I think you would be better off with a Shunt.

I have 2 dumb batteries, was so much more expensive back when I bought them to go bluetooth, don't think any had heaters when I got mine. I have a Victron shunt fitted which gives me all the info I need, my battery are inboard on the van so low temps are rarely encountered. It would depend on cost for me, if it is cheaper not to have bluetooth etc then I wouldn't get it. If I was fitting now and didn't have a shunt giving all the info then I may go bluetooth. I have seen lots of posts where folks are worrying about what they see in the app though so I probably would just go dumb and but a shunt

Ignoring the link in my post, far cheaper ones are available.
Looks like some good prices to me Rob, must admit I haven't really checked for a while, I tend to look if/when I am getting ready to buy something. I am not a 'Blue Fanboy' by any means but I have been very happy with my shunt and the one solar controller. My preferred is Votronic (smaller unit size) or Victron but its looking like Victron is best price these days

I do have a Victron shunt which gives me my display.
However I have just found a battery with Bluetooth from the manufacturer which is only 10€ more than the non Bluetooth so no contest.
429€ for an Eco_Worthy 280 ah Bluetooth lithium.
That should keep me going!

£401 (with code/coupon) for this ecoworthy 300ah

I've not fitted it yet but looks well put together

One thing that bothers me with that advert is the low temp cutoff, if truly set at -7c that’s too cold for standard lithium
It may be a typo in the blurb and the silly pictures or maybe they have different cell chemistry but I doubt that at the rock bottom price end of the market.

I am not sure how good the app is, some include management features such as configurating cell balancing or allow fairly detailed monitoring including seeing internal temperatures, or cell voltages down to three places of decimal

Some like the bloatware Renogy DChome app are so dumbed down to be near pointless!

For all these cheap batteries it always worth considering will you need to be able to heat it up in order to charge and if so how will you do it
