hi,the heater is £100 cash and collect.Its complete and in a metal casing but will need a pump and some ducting.I know the complete kit is about £700.The pump for the diesel tank can be found easily.I'm based nr aberwysyth and have two for sale.call me on 01654 702650.

not sure about fitting it yourself.You need to connect to the fuel tank and pump the fuel to the heater.mounting the heater in the van somewhere and wiring it to the battery is not difficult but the fuel end I dont know.eberspacher have agood website and technical downloads.I have two for sale,taken out of ex BT vans.aberyswyth area.01654 702650.lesngaynor said:could anyone(untrained mechanic like me?) install it? will it fit our lunar champ and how much do you want for it? thanx

Hi all not interested in buying the heater. But I just fitted an eberspacher water heater to my camper. Its not a bad job to do. But things I would not do again are.
Use the drop pipe from the main fuel tank, I found that I had a small leek from the tank when it was full, being plastic it was allowing the sealing washer to move and breking the seal. I would use a small tank just for the heater next time, fitted near the heater but shielded.
The heater takes a lot of power to start, and a very good battery is needed, around 100 ah or over. I did not take account of the power drop ( due to the manual being total rubbish) and when trying to start the heater would not kick in due to low voltage. I have sorted this my using larger feed cables to the heater from the battery and also an inlive volt meter that gives me the voltage at the heater side of the wiring loom. Its beat to start the heater if poss with the engine running but not needed most of the time.
I did fit an inline fuel pump just to be on the sale side, cost 15 pounds from e-bay new.
One also needed a heater tank to fill the system, not part of the kit, so I used a old brass one from a morris oxford and fitted in line to fill the water system. Along with pipes and conectors for the fan rads. I fitted two one in front the motorhome and one at the rear. The job was done.
Things to note, are the need for a number of joining parts, for some reason none of the kit parts use the same dia of 15mm or 22mm etc. The need for water pipe, clips etc. fuel pump and clips, cable and ties.
It took me two days to fit, and around 2 days to sort out what was wrong.
In the van its great and on a cold day just great to have.
A lot of money, but as we have two pug dogs and don,t go away in high summer, we find that having the heater very much needed on colder evennings of april may, etc.

Just looking the above answers you can put a T peace in the main fuel feed pipe to the injector pump between the tank and the injector pump (as long as the fuel system is not comon rail fuel injection on your engine) this works fine for picking the fuel up to your heater and no leaks (instant mot fail) and no smelly diesel inside the camper
