Help needed to wire in a d2 with 701 timer, its got four wires , red, brown, yellow, grey/red , I'm not sure how to wire it up as I dont want to blow the ecu.

any help advice please

Try the downloads page on the Eberspacher website, there is an installation manual which includes wiring diagrams.

thanks for the reply, unfortunately they dont match the colour of mine,Ive searched several sites for help and got nowhere, its an ex bt unit with 9 wires coming out from the d2 unit, 1 red,1brown, 1 yellow,1 grey/red,1 red/green, 1black/red,1grey,1blue/white, theres a plug with the bl/white the grey and a red and brown which are spliced from the main red and brown.
the timer has 4 wires red brown yellow and a grey/red,
does any of this make any sense to you as the more i look the more confused i'm becoming.

red is constant +ve
brown is constant -ve
yellow is 'go' (connect to +ve to make go -
Blue / white is diagnostic (you dont need this)
grey / red = temperature

the rest will be thermostat /diagnostic based - ignore?

connect brown to earth / chassis
red to battery +ve
yellow of timer to yellow of heater
grey red to grey red.

done.

this is just what I needed to know, instead of all the other jargon which only seemed to confuse me even more.
