I'm hoping to find out if it is easy to import custom POI files onto the Garmin Camper. I've never owned a Garmin only TomToms, but I know many on here have them so I'm hoping I hear some good news from happy owners. I need to import all the wildcamping poi's, plus LPG garages across Europe, supermarkets, LeClerc, Carrefoure, Lidl, Aldi etc. If it can do this I'll give it a go.

Garmin have their own POI install software and it is pretty simple to use. You do not need to upload each type individually, the program will ask you to select the directory (which is Garmin in the POI downloads) and all the POI sets in it will be uploaded. Then just do the same again for the LPG.

Thanks. This sounds easier than TomTom latest offerings. I'll give it a go.

I've ordered the Garmin Camper satnav today and collect it on Monday. Looking forward to using it. TomTom technical support finally responded saying that the third party OV2's are probably faulty and that's why they won't load onto a GO 6000, so I've asked for a comprehensive report as to why the same files work fine on my old TomTom One XL. I'm looking forward to their response but I'll bet I don't get one.
