Unfortunately that is incorrect there are two fields on the V5, the taxation class and body type that are not provided by the DVLA to Anpr or other registration recognition systems such as keypad entry. The DVLA claim this is personal info so is excluded by GDPR rules.A quick read, and you soon realise councils are in a strange situation with 'van' parking.
For example take a L3H2 Ducato panel van, this very popular vehicle could be a 'light commercial vehicle', a 'heavy commercial vehicle', a 'van with windows', a 'motor caravan', a 'minibus', or an 'emergency vehicle'. So what is the same basic vehicle is treated differently depending on a couple of words in the logbook.
Those two fields never appear anywhere even when doing a paid for HPI check.
It’s absolutely stupid the info isn’t available and as an aside is the reason thousands of people get away annually by committing VED evasion in ex service vehicles such as ex Ambulances
The only info available to car park system that could be relevant is the vehicles revenue weight because many car parks exclude vans over 3500kg under their T&Cs
