Seriously many of the measures taken by this shower relate to issues that they and every other council faced during covid. We had serious issues here in East Dunbartonshire with cars parking selfishly, so much so that the local bus could not reach its terminus. But unlike every other council were most of the measures have been relaxed EL obviously saw covid as an excuse to carry out their draconian policies which interfere with decent people’s civil liberties. I am glad to see that they are being taken to task.
Just to wind them up I sent them a link with all of the facilities across the water in Fife, I also sent them photos of the new facilities in Elie. No reply to date, and I doubt if I will ever hear from this lot. I wonder how many in EL own motorhomes who are free to go elsewhere, but unable to do so in their own back yard. Hopefully they will take notice and actually do something, but that involves some lateral thinking something EL seem devoid off.


I note this article refers to what Fife Coastal Trust are doing.
EL are spending money to prevent tourism, whilst Fife are spending money to attract tourism.

You have to laugh when these muppets tell us they have allowed 6 overnight parking places within the whole of East Lothian for £10 a night. Elie alone now accounts for over £1000 a week which is ring fenced for future improvements. Time for EL to wake up and smell the coffee.
