.remember...i don't do spanners :eek:

cab heating control system inoperative... no nothing...
switches go round ... nothing

no air flow, no heat... no cold.. no directional anything

switches sticking in some places within their designs movement parameters but can force them past the point of sticking :eek:

... nothing :mad:


can i take it there is a problem somewhere...:confused:

and if so... diagnosis prognosis and best place to take it would be appreciated :)

Fan motor knackered or blown fuse/loose wire/bad/loose connection. Take it to an electromacution man.

:eek:.. OK.. as long as i can stay fer a week:cool:

and be fed, whippet steak day 1, stir-fry whippet day 2, curried whippet day 3, whippet stroganoff day 4, sweet and sour whippet day 5, whippet lasagne day 6 and finally whippet with Yorkshire pud and sheeet loads of gravy followed by pug and butter puddin :D

are you absolutely certain it is not just that the feed to the fan has failed ?
I had this , the relay it is fed from was so difficult to reach I just fed a new wire to the switch from an auxiliary wire [ one that is only live when the ignition is on ] behind the centre section of the dashboard

not an elegant solution ..I scotchlocked it on using the thickest wire that would pass through that ... but no problems since

incidentally , my step alarm stopped working about a month later ....dashboard out again to do the same thing for that , the original wire is in behind all the woodwork somewhere ....if it happens to you make sure that the switch by the step that allows it to run to earth isn't the faulty component ..a 1 minute job

This is foreign language to AJ. AJ dont do spanners, only relay hes knows is the 4x800 mtrs he watches on the telly.:D:D

If AJ is bleating on so much about no heating in his van, then I believe he does not have a motorcycle. :eek:

I believe that in real life, AJS is actually a lonely old spinster living in a care home who has a vivid imagination. :confused:

I'll let you know if we aint coming but at the moment the promise of some shoping for Nicole means we will be there, she gets shops I get draught Hobgoblin, Its a marriage made in heaven :)
 
I assume it is of Italian origin. I have got a Granduca and I do not even tempt to look at the electrics, let alone touch them. Work for a specialist .

To be serious - sorry! If our 2.8 Ducato is anything to go by they're crap at the best of time!

The fan has to be on speed four just to raise a knats fart, the windscreen takes 7 miles to demist (MINIMUM!), in the winter we use the rear heater which although re-sited (Chausson Welcome 70) IS a Fiat part and works VERY well, otherwise the draughts will beat/overcome the front heater! It's the only vehicle I've driven that gets colder the further you drive!!!

I have been looking for a scoop to fit on the bonnet hoping to give the heater/vents a bit of added ram air.

The recirc' control flys back to straight tho' within 30secs of setting it, I could go on; but won't! So unless your fan has packed up then I don't think yours is any different!

where the fek is the fuse box and what do they look like...:eek:
i'll check it in the morning :eek:

will i need a spanner:confused:... if so.. it's a visit to tools are us :D

Good God, its like having kids again!

Where is your Owners manual, lost it I bet.

In my manual it says there is a fuse for the fan is under the bonnet. It is a squarish black plastic box. Mine is covered by a waterproof cover and is front right as you look at it. The fan is a 30 Amp one.

If it is not that one then it is the fuse in the box at the passenger side of the dashboard (low down).Again, it is 30 amp.

I would check the second one first as I have found 4 fans with fuses in my book (for all possible applications)

I know you are useless AJ but even you can take a cover off. You can see a blown fuse by looking at it.
