As a PC numpty, I can not work out how to download POI's to satnav. Have looked at previous threads but still no luck. Could someone please post step by step instructions for PC dummy. Even better video on YouTube. Many thanks.

Have you installed the Windows POI Downloader app?

Details can be found here:

To load POIs onto your Garmin, this thread should help:

There are some YouTube videos that demonstrate the use of Garmin POI Loader. This search will list them:

However they don't seem to be all that good ...

How far into it have you got, I did it yesterday after pulling my hair out for a couple of days but would have to rethink the process as I did it.

Yes, there's one on my Garmin Nuvi 765. It came preloaded with all of Europe and has been updated over the years.

Which Satnav has he got, the maps are different for each make of satnav but they are available for TomTom

Tomtom Western zone
Full door to door navigation in the following countries is included:
Andorra, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Switzerland, the Republic of Ireland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the Canary Islands and Vatican City.

The Western zone is good for travelling if you don't have room for the full Europe map
