Finally got it to work but still can't get the moving ones to work........ any ideas?

I had that problem as well, its simply that they are to big or the wrong format.
Do exactly the same thing as you do when you change you static avatar it will work with some of them, just keep trying untill you get one that works.
Try to select an animated avatar that is not to big and a simple one should work.
