This is why we like to travel alone as we can go where we like and stop wherever we want , if we are with others we can plan ? to meet up for the night .

Vindiboy well done what a great trip that must have been would love to have done it, but we don't do Europe.
But we planned a cruise down the Douro Valley, and we love the wines that come from there.

Must do the cruise, I watched on catch up TV last night the great canal trip programme with Tim and Pru ? they did a Douro Cruise in a boat stopped at some fabulous places that we recognised too, there is a train along part of the valley, it is a commuter train so cheap to ride, we are going to do that some time, we got close to it this year as we were at PORTO but never got around to it shame.

And Lisbon is well worth the train ride from Porto.
But I preferred Porto it’s a great city, full of good people.
We love the Portuguese, we holiday in Madeira also.
