hi peeps,
just want to say(if any of you have not noticed)admin is tryin to raise funds to maintain site, this has got to be worthy of a few quid for such a brill site.
there are 9000 members and if everyone of us put a quid that would be tremendous and a big help i'm sure to admin who duz a brill job with this site,if we lost it where would we be?:)
 
Agreed, donated a couple of days ago. This, in my opinion, is the best motorhome website out there, it's in all our interests to keep it going and show our faith in Admin who is doing such a fantastic job in sometimes difficult circumstances.

Come on everyone, get yer 'ands in yer pockets!!!!! :D :D

You should have a private forum only available to the donators group.

OK it would have some regulars screaming blue murder for 10 minutes but they'd soon be coughing up £5 to see what was going on :D

It may also encourage some discussion about the better wilding locations that one doesn't want to make too public.
 
I will sort out my paypall account or send you a cheque admin,it is well worth it even for the lively debates!!!!!!!!!:);)

Yes, I have too seen it before and actually I have mixed feelings on it as I don't really like the concept of private forums.

However, if it's a donation drive one's after, then this would work a little I'm sure. Some people like value for their cash and a different colour name maybe does not do it for some, whereas a private forum could be seen as something more practical.

This is a poor show - those who have already donated previously (a while ago) could still donate again for this current need :eek:
 
Ive done my bit, Ive been on here 15 months, enjoyed every moment, and with a bit of help from the stickers, I sent admin £30.
Do your best, we dont want to loose this forum, after all, where else can you take the pi## out of AJ.

Well I have donated twice this year and that is not a problem as far as I'm concerned AS THIS IS THE BEST SITE OUT THERE:D:D and I haven't got a motorhome yet:eek: I log on two or three times a day just to read the posting's and the banter. The banter for me is really great:D...Mr Admin (Phil) does a great job:) and I for one would not want to lose this site :eek:..and with 9000 members it's a poor show that so few of the members have responded perhaps we should do a raffle? that might get a few members interested!!:)

Agree with you, its not a very good show considering there's 9000 menbers.
Now, have a look at the Members list and see how many members have NEVER posted anything. If I had time, I would go through the members list and see how many have posted more than 5 times, I dont think it will be a big percentage.
Still, no excuse for not sticking your hand in your pocket,(or the wifes pocket, just dont get caught), its only 2 packets of fags, or half a bottle of whisky.

Please let me say that the support I have had is heart warming.

I am really happy that people have choosen to donate their money. However I also must say that this is a free will donation, if you do not want to donate if you do not want to donate then please do not worry about it. I really do not want anyone to feel pressured into donating.

To all those who have donated, please accept my thanks.
 
I had been a virtual non posting member from August 2006 (before I got my Motorhome) until this year. My postings have gone up to nearly 200 now. Still it only rates at 0.15 posts per day since joining.

I was unaware of the reason some were "Site Supporters" until Phil put his last appeal out. To me this site is the best around and well worth a regular donation.

I had a look at the members list, there are only 882 members that have posted 5 or more times, 129 that have posted 100 times or more, and 11 that have posted 1000 times or more.
***** is in the lead with 6537.
followed by Samclouis with 4202.
Even Leo, (Belgian) has 1685.
I like the idea of a raffle,it could raise quite a lot of money if its done right, maybe split the money between Admin and a good cause of some kind. Anyone got any thoughts onthe idea.

Have thought about designing and individually handcrafting some sort of membership badges in silver. Possibly be around twenty pounds per badge. ten pounds to cover costs and ten pounds straight to site funds. Have sent admin pm, just waiting for response. Not sure if this is a viable idea, but may be worth a try.

Thought you would be in with your usual positive response Lenny. First one has your name on it.
Have xmas commissions to complete, then I am assuming tis going to be quiet till easter. Will start working on design early jan.
What I have in mind would usually cost around £40-50 so hope £20 is a good price for anyone interested. Can also make in gold but that would be a fair bit more than £20. Will see if it is fine with admin then go ahead if there is any interest.
