dogs and france

They shot the dog, which they had no choice as it had been conditioned by brainless idiots. The tragedy is that an innocent child died because of their stupidity. I do not put the blame directly on the dog.

I hope they shoot the owner now.

At least it is another step forward towards a workable Dangerous Dogs Act.

Hi Frostybow in last 5 years we have had little problems visited 17 countries spending total of 34 months in Europe on 7 different trips returned 2 weeks ago from France passport clearly states Staffy.regards Otis the Staffy:cool:

hi otis the staffy could you tell me on the pet passport you have does it say staff or staff cross

Hi Otis,

The problem your owner has at the moment is the signage warning of your presence.

You see the daft ways our laws work are that if you say 'beware of the dog on a sign' or 'survivors will be prosecuted' those nasty men in court turn round and say your master knew you were dangerous, In fact the Master even put a sign up saying as much.!!!

Your picture, Or I live here is better.

Now then, if a naughty boy should come into the garden, and you relieve him of part of his ankle.... It is MOST IMPORTANT, that your master never uses the phrase guard dog you are 100 percent a pet !!!! ....Very Very Important.

You see again those silly people in Parliament deamt up an idea called The Guarding Dog act way back in 1975..

And the rules are totally different, Your master needs signs on every entrance and exit to the property and better still has to kepp you supervised at all times.

So you see far better to be a pet.

Remember that the French Police have authority to shoot (yes, with a 9mm pistol) any dog that they consider dangerous. I suspect that if a dog had got off the lead and looked like one of the banned breeds that it might be used for target practice! A muzzled dog will be treated a bit better and it is common to see large dogs muzzled in towns etc.

In Spain any loose dog can be shot by the Police or farmers. That is if the locals haven't poisoned it with paracetamol first! They wrap them up in a bit of steak and scatter them around, I have seen them doing it. Rabies is present in wild animals in Spain and, whilst the French will deny it, in some parts of the French Pyrenees.

Johnny foreigner just does not have the same attitude to dogs as the British pet owner.

thank master channi for advice on signage i have drawn the attention of your comments and advice to my master? he will now place warnings in 7 languages including brail at all 6 gates also looking to put up movement censors connected to speaker in order that if we can cover all eventualities failing that off to France to live but thats not a good idea because my master has to have a test to see that he is mentally stable in order that he can have my breed as a pet nough said
