Nigel has actually been to a Druid hand fasting ceremony (wedding) Trev - I know as I was there with him as were a few others from here.

That was at the Avebury Stones though rather than Stonehenge.

They do a big gathering at newgrange here, been once, may take the kids to see it this year if the weather holds.

Yeah I came from there a week and a half ago Nigel. It is open until they close it for the Winter Solstice, can't remember the date but its usually 2 weeks before the Solstice

Whatever you do Nigel, keep moving. There are too many Archeologists there looking for ancient remains.

It was very rough going on from Larkhill end Nigel, even at 4mph it was a bit quick. They have got rid of the big flints that you had to dodge going that way though and no deep ruts like there was. Worst bit is the tarmac road past the farm, gets a bit better when you get on the track.

I went out A303 end and that was a lot better

Yes, both summer and winter Solstices. About 2 weeks prior it closes and usually opens up again in the evening after Solstice, (but same day)

thanks for the info you lot ,but its not for me, its for the next generation , my mates daughter , who's fulltiming in her merc .
