Unfortunately not ... I was using a 3rd Party Photo Editor at the time to avoid Google knowing when I breathe in and then out. I still prefer a non-Google solution but its unrelenting consumption of its serious competition makes this more difficult each month

There are so many takes for our data these days it can be difficult to make sure your data is safe. But we have decided to embrace Google and try to limit our data, where we can to one place. (I know this is not strictly true, but it is the best way we can find to protect at least some of our data.) We have Pixel phones, which are brilliant BTW. Pixel tablets, equally good. With those we get Google VPN, whish is free to use. We decided to get more storage, so we now have 2TB cloud storage. That was £80 a year, but that comes with extras.

Of course it is not ideal to have your data out there for anyone to use, but keeping one "provider" is a lot safer than it being spread about. As for photo's? I don't care who sees them! I am happy to have them out there, they are my memories and someone else seeing them is not diminishing my enjoyment or memories. BUT.. Our cloud space is secure. so it is not really an issue. And auto backup is a godsend!
