Diesel left in tanks. Any problem?

I have a 1959 tractor that I restored in 2013 and as it doesn’t get used very often is still on the same fuel from 2013, knowing that I wouldn’t use all the fuel up very quickly I put in some millers diesel additive which apart from helping to keep the fuel system clean, also stops the diesel from going bad.

None of those stop the diesel bug or dry up water, they are just boosters.

One of the reasons I used it is because the instructions on the label say it does stop the diesel bug, and as the diesel is now over 7 years old and still not causing any problems and still looking clean in the glass bowl on the tractor, then I think it is doing it’s job of stopping the bug very well.
I am not second guessing it , I am actually using and seeing it for myself

this is mine I restored it 7 years ago, when I bought it it had been stood outside under a tree in Suffolk for over 15 years, when I got it back home, I put a battery on it just to see if it would turn over but not really expecting it to do so, but after been stood all those years it did, then even more amazing after it turned over about a dozen times it fired up, and to this day I haven’t done anything to the engine, as it starts within 2 to 3 turns of the engine, without any smoke,
Engine wise the only thing it has had in 61 years is a water pump.
I had to strip the gear box mainly because the hydraulics weren’t working, so the restoration was mainly just the tin work and cosmetics

Where is that pic taken from and looking over it looks very familiar to me.

I might be able to see you as we can see Emley, Castle hill, Holme moss, and as far round as the wind farm above Queensbury from the back garden. (y)

We are just a few hundred yards down from what is left of the mill,
So you must be higher up near to castle hill

No in Dewsbury very close to Staincliffe hospital, but with a hell of a view as there is nothing between us and the Pennines. We take a real battering in the winter, ☹
