Could anyone give me some idea re the wiring of the water sensors for a water tank for a fiat granduca. There are four wires, two of each going into a connection for each sensor, the wires are coloured, brown, black blue and a green/yellow. Our friend has wired it up but not working, and wonder if the wiring is wrong. As I said, I had originally put diesel in:D (yes, I have joined that club also!!!) and took the tank out to clean, scribbled the wiring down on a piece of paper, which the wife threw out when in cleaning the van as just purchased !!! Would love some ideas before I take it to get pump looked at, although when we switch the tap button on it makes a noise but nothing moves anywhere else related to water.

Many thanks

May be a silly question... but have you re-filled the tank with water?

Cant help with the actual wiring - try this though.

Turn the pump on, put your finger over the end of the tap. Is the tap "sucking" or "blowing" (hmmm very erotic) - if its sucking then you have the wiring reversed at the pump and the pump is running backwards.

If its blowing then an air lock is likely cause.
