Hi,

has anyone had any experience with delamination on their motorhome roof. I have a Bessacarr E435 and there is a big bubble appeared on the roof which causes quite a bit of noise when on the road or when it's a windy day. Any suggestions to how it could be repaired?

Thanks.

William.

With difficulty I'd say.

The size of the bubble, and if it manifests inside or out might decide the treatment, an adhesive sealant which works in the presence of moisture might be the way to go, I'd be happy if it could be clamped but no idea how one thing for sure is it will probably only get worse.

Where exactly is the bubble on the roof?

Are you sure it's delamination....

A lot of coach builds have a 'floating roof' metal skin over a solid panel...
Bloody annoying at times if the winds in the wrong direction.

That seems to be the case with my 2001 Autotrail Scout -- at least in the area around the skylight over the rear lounge: I noticed that the outer skin wasn't glued to the framework when I replaced the skylight. A caravan repair guy told me that the frame and the aluminium skin expand and contract at different rates and that the outer skin could distort if it was glued in some places but not in others; and so a 'floating' outer skin was often by design...

Hi Thanks for the reply

The bubble is about half a metre square and is around the bottom of the slope from the luton cab/bulge on top of the roof.

Yes It definately looks like delamination, it's like a big blister, I'll try and get a Photo

The noise in high winds sounds like the roof might come off. regarding solar panels are they screwed down or just glued on
Noise !
Need photos of area thats got blister as you mentioned it on the formed bit and not the flat roof.
Do you have water ingress ? Inside van . Start by lookin top and bottom cuboids for staining.
